About Mighty Voices
What is Mighty Voices?
Mighty Voices is an audition-based after-school performing arts program for students in Grades 2–7.
Through acting, movement, storytelling, and performance, students develop confidence, creativity, communication skills, and meaningful connections with their ensemble.
Our mission is simple: Be Seen. Be Heard. Be Mighty.
Mighty Voices is currently offered in two ensembles:
- Elementary Ensemble: Grades 2–4
- Middle School Ensemble: Grades 5–7
Not at all!
We welcome students at every experience level — from children auditioning for the very first time to students who already feel at home onstage or on camera.
We are much more interested in a student's potential, preparation, creativity, personality, and willingness to learn than in how many performances they have already completed.
Mighty Voices works more like a performing arts ensemble or team than a traditional drop-in after-school club.
Auditions allow our creative team to meet each student, learn more about their personality and strengths, and thoughtfully build ensembles where students can learn, grow, create, and perform together.
An audition is not about arriving as a perfect performer. It is simply an opportunity to step forward and let us see what makes you mighty.

Middle School Ensemble — Grades 5–7
Monday, August 31, 2026 · 4:00–5:30 PM

No. There is no cost to audition for Mighty Voices. Families only complete tuition enrollment after their child has been offered a place in an ensemble.
Students will begin with a short introduction and then perform their prepared audition selection.
Our team may also invite them to try something fun, such as saying a line with a different emotion, showing us a creative character, or answering a simple question about themselves.
There is nothing extra to prepare for this portion. We simply want students to listen, try, and have fun.
Students should prepare one of the audition selections outlined in their Mighty Voices Audition Packet. Families who begin the audition journey will receive the audition materials, preparation guidance, important dates, and additional information to help their child feel ready.
Memorization is encouraged, but it is not required.
We would much rather see a confident and expressive performance than a perfectly memorized one. Students may reference their script if needed, but they should practice enough to look up, connect, and make clear character choices.
A member of the Mighty Voices team will serve as the reader during the live audition.
Students should practice the entire scene beforehand so they feel comfortable listening and responding to the other character.
That is completely normal!
Our goal is to create a warm and encouraging audition environment. We are not expecting perfection. We simply want to see each student's personality, creativity, preparation, and willingness to try.
Sometimes courage looks like feeling nervous and stepping forward anyway.
Students should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow them to move freely. Costumes and formal audition attire are not needed.
Students may bring:
- A copy of their audition material if they would like to reference it
- A water bottle
No additional forms need to be brought to the audition. Families will simply check in upon arrival.
Our creative team considers the whole student.
We look at preparation, creativity, potential, personality, confidence, ability to listen and take direction, and willingness to try.
We are thoughtfully building ensembles of students who we believe can grow together throughout the season.
Decision emails will be sent to every auditioning family on Friday, September 4, 2026. Families will receive their child's audition result along with any appropriate next steps.
Tuition & Enrollment
Tuition and enrollment
Fall 2026 semester tuition is $385 per student.
Tuition supports the full semester experience, including weekly rehearsals, performing arts instruction, creative coaching, ensemble development, original showcase material, and participation in the end-of-season showcase.
Yes. Families may choose to:
- Pay in full: $385 by September 7
- Split into two payments: 50% by September 7 · Remaining 50% by November 1
Payment options will be available to selected families during enrollment.
Students who are offered a place in a Mighty Voices ensemble must complete enrollment by Tuesday, September 7, 2026.
Because ensemble space is limited, families should complete enrollment by the deadline in order to secure their child's place.
Rehearsals & The Experience
Rehearsals and the season
Elementary Ensemble — Grades 2–4
Tuesdays · 3:45 PM – 5:45 PM
First day of rehearsal: Tuesday, September 8, 2026
Middle School Ensemble — Grades 5–7
Wednesdays · 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
First day of rehearsal: Monday, September 9, 2026
Mighty Voices intentionally runs later than many traditional after-school clubs, giving students additional time to create, rehearse, collaborate, and grow together.
Parent pickup is at 5:45 PM on Tuesdays from the elementary school and 6:00 PM on Wednesdays from the middle school.
Because our team remains responsible for students until they are picked up, families must arrive on time for dismissal. We highly recommend arriving 10 minutes before rehearsal dismissal. More than 2 late pickups will result in the unfortunate removal from the ensemble.
Because Mighty Voices is an ensemble, consistent attendance is important.
Students depend on one another as they rehearse scenes, build performances, and prepare for the showcase. Full attendance expectations will be shared with enrolled families.
Throughout the season, students will explore:
- Acting
- Movement
- Storytelling
- Character development
- Improvisation
- Ensemble collaboration
- Voice and communication
- Stage presence
- Performance preparation
The goal is not simply to create stronger performers. We want students to become more confident communicators, creative thinkers, supportive teammates, and young people who understand the value of their own voice.
Yes!
The Mighty Voices season culminates in an end-of-semester showcase where students can share what they have learned and celebrate their growth with family and friends.
Our tentative Fall Season Showcase date is Saturday, January 9, 2027. Final showcase details will be shared with enrolled families.
